Spanish companies, pleased with the past edition of APLF Hong Kong | Chinese APLF (Asia Pacific Leather), closed on April 2nd last. The tradeshow held in Hong Kong (China) had four Spanish companies among the total number of participants. These companies belonged to the group supported by AEC (Asociacion Espanola de Componentes para el Calzado – Footwear Component Companies).
Maria Eugenia Coquillat is in charge of Foreign Trade at AEC, and she states, “The event was positive for our Spanish companies. The level of visitors and exhibitors was a good as last year’s and companies plan to take part once again next year. This, in spite of the difficulties posed by the Euro-US dollar exchange rate”.
[Extend new] | | DLTA11 Damascus | DLTA11 Damascus, the International Tradeshow for Footwear, Leather, Raw Materials and Technologies, is held from March 6th to 9th. This is one of the major events in the Arabian region, for all those doing business in the leather industry sector. It is also a privileged entrance gate to Syrian markets.
The event groups products into several segments: industrial machinery for leather and footwear making, chemical products, raw materials, natural and synthetic leather, lasts, heels and soles, and a full range of accessories.

| The 32nd edition of Fimec closes with optimism | The International Leather, Chemicals, Components, Accessories, Equipment and Machinery Show for the Footwear and Tannery sectors closed on April 11th last, and the edition was visited by some 50,000 people, while total business figures are yet to be confirmed.

The Poliforum is an Exhibitions Center that stands as the ideal meeting point for doing business, mostly because it is strategically location within the leather-footwear-suppliers influence area of Leon, in Guanajuato Mexico. The Center complies with international standards and it extends over 46,000 square meters.

| Simac and Tanning Tech to be held in October | Assomac Servizi, the planners of Simac and Tanning Tech, decided that Simac and Tanning Tech 2008 will once again be held together in Bologne next October, to coincide once more with Lineapelle (October 28th to 30th).
